Post event report:
7 riders met at Silver Park to enjoy this warm morning ride. Starting in Silver Park our route proceeded east along the Milwaukee Trail, with a short delay diagnosing a mechanical difficulty with the leader's rear wheel. After resolving the issue we continued through the Kim Williams Nature Area and looping around the Canyon River Golf Course with a branch out to the site of the now barricaded Tunnel 16.5 in the lower Milltown State Park. After a short break at the fence we returned via a southern route through the residential area of Canyon River Estates and the Milwaukee Trail.

Welcome to the another Tuesday Group MBC-UMRA Ride on Thursday this week
Update 6/19/2024 9:20 AM - Minor route change due to maintenance on the Milwaukee Trail north of the UM Campus. See map below.
Given the current long range weather forecast for, Tuesday, 6/18, with a high of 58 and 58% likelihood of precipitation and lots of clouds, we will move our Tuesday group to Thursday, 6/20/2024 at 10:00 AM to continue our 2024 morning riding season for the usually Tuesday MBC-UMRA riding group. The ride starting time has been confirmed for 10:00 AM beginning in Silver Park. The tentative route plan is a basic out and back on the Milwaukee Trail through the Kim Williams Nature Area and around the Canyon River Golf Course. This route is a combination of pavement and gravel with minimal elevation change.
If you have any suggestions for future rides for this primarily Tuesday biking group, please let me know by entering it on the "Propose a Ride" page and indicate that you would like someone else to lead. Also, if you would be interested in leading or co-leading any of the future MBC-UMRA Tuesday rides, you can submit your interest on our "Propose a Ride" page.
Any cancellation/postponement of this ride will be posted here and a cancellation email will be sent out not later than 5:00 PM on Wednesday 6/19, to all who have RSVP'd. Always dress appropriately for your comfort.
While this ride is targeted towards UM Retirees, it is open to all MBC members. Please remember that this will be a slow to moderate pace with minimal elevation change. Please RSVP if you’re considering joining the ride so that you will be provided the leader's contact information and can be informed of any late-breaking changes (e.g., weather or smoke related cancellation).
