Bearmouth to Drummond Ride Report 4/2/2022

Post event report:

Two intrepid long time MBC riders braved the Spring in Montana Weather on Saturday, 4/2/2022. Larry and Carl's Grand Spring Adventure of 34 miles in 2 hours 33 minutes! Due to wind they made the smart decision to start in Drummond with a strong wind from the west so it was a head-windy, light snow and rain conditions. Temperature was a glorious 39 degrees. With everything extra they brought for inclement weather they set out for Bearmouth.

They received challenges from multiple hills, seemingly slow in nature due to the headwind. The lead was swapped so there was time to rest and get a bit warmer. The turnaround was graced with a great one-hole cement toilet, a welcome sight! The return was a tailwind assisted blast with overall average speed 13.3mi/h with a max of 36.9mi/h. Cruising up hills and flying down the other side with a strong tailwind is how every ride should end. The route was quickly completed despite dodging the Cow Pies! Great ride with lots of conversation and humor. Drummond was quickly in view and we loaded the bikes and headed home.
